 OUR MISSION

Greater Works exists to reflect God’s love, build strong biblical foundations, and equip people to grow in faith, live with purpose, and make a lasting impact in their families, communities, and world.

OUR BELIEFS

The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God and serves as the ultimate authority for salvation, faith, and Christian living. (See II Timothy 3:15-17.)

There is one God who has revealed Himself as the Father in creation, through the Son in redemption, and as the Holy Spirit in His activity among humanity. Jesus Christ is the one true God manifested in flesh, fully God and fully man. (See Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16.)

Every person has sinned and is in need of salvation. Salvation is made available through the grace of God by faith in Jesus Christ and His atoning sacrifice for sin. (See Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9.)

The gospel is the good news of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The gospel is obeyed through repentance, water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit, evidenced by speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance. (See I Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Romans 6:3-4.)

As Christians we are to love God and love others. We are to worship God joyfully and seek to live a life that is pleasing to him both inwardly and outwardly—in our thoughts, words, and actions. We are empowered to live a life pleasing to God through the Holy Spirit. As a Pentecostal church, we believe that the supernatural gifts of the Spirit are at work in and for the church today and are available to all Spirit-filled believers (Mark 12.28-31; 1 Cor 12.8-10; 2 Cor 7.1; Rom 8.13-14; Gal 5.19-26; Heb 12.14).

Jesus Christ will return for His Church. The dead will be resurrected and all humanity will stand before God in final judgment. The righteous will receive eternal life, while the unrighteous will experience eternal death See I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11-15.)
